The Better Business Bureau is a leading organization that looks out for the interests of consumers. They make sure companies advertise honestly, honour promises, and deliver quality services. If complaints are made about a particular business, they check to see if it gets resolved effectively. In short, they make sure that business are acting as they should. It’s who you call when you’re the victim of a scam, or poor quality work.

Several College Pro Painters franchises are listed on the Better Business Bureau website (www.bbb.org). In most cases where the BBB has looked into an operation, College Pro has received an “A” rating.

Any business that has been in operation for at least one year can apply for BBB accreditation. It shows your customers that they can trust you, and recognizes that you’re a trustworthy contractor and employer. The community will be more likely to hire you if you’re accredited, because the BBB is committed to educating consumers and reducing scams.  From the BBB website:

“BBB Accredited businesses are trustworthy businesses that agree to these standards:
  1. Build Trust
  2. Advertise Honestly
  3. Tell the Truth
  4. Be Transparent
  5. Honor Promises
  6. Be Responsive
  7. Safeguard Privacy
  8. Embody Integrity”

If your College Pro franchise has been in operation for more than one year, apply for accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. It looks good on you, the company, and will go a long way in proving your worth to potential customers.

It was easy to apply in Wisconsin – they called me after I inquired. Some people will say, “anyone can get accredited with the BBB” and that is not true over a period of time. You may get initially accredited, but customers rate you and they take it serious at the organization. College Pro has A+ rating because we were rated that way and have upheld the values.

The have had a number of interactions with the BBB – it is essentially another platform to mediate greivances, and to keep a company in good standing you do need to maintain your customer space.
